What is Albendazole?

Albendazole, an active constituent, is widely used as an antiparasitic agent in veterinary and human healthcare. It effectively combats internal parasites such as roundworms, pinworms, tapeworms, and liver flukes in pets and livestock. Unfortunately, it has no effect on external parasites. Albendazole, which is administered orally via tablets, pills, and suspensions, is not effective against agricultural or domestic parasites. Originating in 1975, it is presently included on the Essential Medicines List of the World Health Organisation for animals.
